🌿 Welcome to No Map, Still Brave — You’re Not Alone on This Journey
by Jamie Lee
Life after divorce or loss can feel like standing at the edge of a vast, unfamiliar wilderness — no map in hand, no clear path forward. If you’ve landed here, chances are you’re walking through one of the toughest seasons of your life, feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, maybe even a little scared.
I want you to know something important right now: you are not alone. And more than that, you are brave.
Why No Map, Still Brave Exists
I started No Map, Still Brave after the sudden and unexpected loss of my husband. In one moment, my entire world changed. I was left grieving deeply, solo parenting, and trying to make sense of a future that no longer looked anything like what I had imagined.
What I needed — and couldn’t find — was a space that offered gentle, judgment-free encouragement for the journey I was suddenly walking. I created No Map, Still Brave for others like me: widowed, divorced, hurting, and trying to rebuild.
This space is for anyone who’s navigating life without the guidebook they thought they’d always have — and doing it anyway.
What “No Map, Still Brave” Means
There’s no official playbook for starting over after deep loss. When you're grieving or adjusting to solo parenting after divorce, everything can feel uncertain. That’s where the name comes from: even without a map, you’re still here. You’re still moving. And that is an extraordinary kind of bravery.
No Map, Still Brave is about honoring the courage it takes to show up each day in the unknown. It’s about helping you take small, steady steps forward — at your own pace, in your own time.
What You’ll Find Here
This is a place to feel seen, understood, and gently supported. Whether you’re a newly single mom, a grieving dad, or somewhere in between, you’ll find tools and encouragement to help you keep going — even when you don’t feel strong.
Here’s what you can expect from this blog and brand:
Gentle encouragement and emotional support — real talk without pressure or platitudes
Journaling prompts and healing tools — to help you reflect, reset, and process big emotions
Resources for solo parenting — tips and strategies for creating new routines and traditions
Support for both grief and divorce recovery — no matter how your journey began, you’re welcome here
Support for your children — specially created journals, tools, and guides to help kids express their emotions, build resilience, and feel safe during big life transitions
Children feel the impact of divorce or loss deeply — even when they don’t have the words to express it. Here, you’ll also find resources that help you support them with empathy and grace, while also taking care of yourself.
Although I’m a woman writing from personal experience, No Map, Still Brave is for everyone navigating loss or transition — including fathers, widowers, and men facing divorce. I care deeply about the emotional needs of men in these roles, and you are fully welcome here. Your pain, your growth, and your healing matter just as much.
You Are Braver Than You Know
It’s okay if you don’t have it all figured out. It’s okay if you cry, collapse, or question everything. That doesn’t make you weak — it makes you human.
The fact that you’re still here, showing up for yourself and your children, means you are deeply brave.
Whether you’re a mom or dad, whether your pain comes from loss or heartbreak, No Map, Still Brave is here to walk beside you — without judgment and with full respect for the strength it takes to keep going.
